More Beauty Supply GOODiES!!!! :)

So I decided to take another trip to my beauty supply store.  I had a coupon so I figured "why not?" (excuses I know lol).   I didn't pick up much but I figured I would share some of my frugal finds. Here goes:
(from bottom left and clockwise)
- NYX Girls lipgloss in "Pinky Natural"- $1.99
- NYX Girls lipgloss in "Real Nude"- $1.99
- L.A. Colors concealer in "Beige" (thought it would be a nice concealer for under the eyes but now I just use it as a eyelid primer)- $1.00
- L.A. Colors Lipgloss/Lipstick Duo in "Pleasure" (it's ok but a little sheer but hey you get what you pay for)- $1.00
- Ruby Kisses Gel Liner in "Dark Brown"- $3.99
- KISS Eyelashes "Hollywood 01" (excited to try these out!)- $2.99
-Ruby Kisses Cuticle Oil- $1.99
- Ruby Kisses Nail Polish in "White"- $1.00
- Ruby Kisses Nail Polish in "Green Tomatoes" (I will do a NOTD for this because it's sooo pretty)- $1.00
- Absolute! Lipliner in "Ginger" (I looovee their lipliners! they are very pigmented)- $1.00
- NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk"- $3.99
- NYX Round Lipstick in "Fig"

I've tried the majority of these products and have been pretty pleased with the results.  They are really good alternatives to their more expensive counterparts. As I mentioned, the L.A. Colors concealer wasn't quite the highlight I'm looking for so I'll stick to my Milani for now.  I now use it as a primer and it fares pretty well.  I attempted to use the gel liner for my eyebrows but it gave a "harsh look" and I prefer my eyebrows to look a little more natural.  I use it as a liner or  base for my smokey brown looks.  But it is very long-lasting! The "Fig" lipstick is now my go to natural lip color (when I want to get away from my pinks).  It's a nice brown-pinkish color (sorry I don't have swatches at the moment).  Maybe I'll swatch "Fig", "Paparazzi" and "Narcissus" so you can see what it looks like on brown skin.  I know the pictures make all the colors look very similar.  But I encourage you all to check out the beauty products at your local beauty supply store.  Remember, you don't have to pay top dollar to look FABULOUS!!

Stay Beautiful!!!

Well, it's WASH DAY! {Relaxed Hair}

Because I have a little time on my hands (as summer classes are winding down), I designated today as my wash day.  As I mentioned before, I'm on a relaxed hair journey so I usually wash my hair on a weekly basis.  Just wanted to take the time out to share with you some of the products that I've used on my hair today:
- Mane N' Tail Detangler
- ORS Replenishing Conditioner
- VO5 Moisture Milks Moisturizing Shampoo
-Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in Conditioning Repair Cream, which I seal with...
- Proclaim Argan Oil

I change up shampoos and deep conditioners depending on what my hair needs but I've been really loving the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In.  I use it pretty much every time I wash my hair.  I am also using Jamaican Black Castor Oil when deep conditioning my hair (but it's not pictured here).  Of course I moisturize and seal my hair after I let my hair air dry but I just wanted to show u the products I use on my wash day.  If you would like to see what I moisturize with, you can add me on Hairlista--> http://www.hairlista.com/profile/ToyaNixon :) Well, I'm going to go wash my deep conditioner out now, talk to you guys soon.  Oh yeah, I should be posting pics of my updated length check soon....

My Apologies Loves!!...(plus Beauty Supply GOODiES)!!!

Hello Loves!! Long time, no hear right? Wow, I don't know where to begin.  Well a lot of things have happened since I last posted (which was a little over a year ago--once again, I SOWWEE).  Work was hectic...then school was hectic and...MY LiFE WAS JUST A MESS! Well now I have everything sorted out and my life is back in order so I'll be able to post regularly now.  Hope you guys didn't forget about me :(
I must say, my love for all things beauty (and entertainment) has not subsided...it's gotten worse actually lol.  During my absence, I have indulged in all sort of beauty tips, tutorials, hauls.  It was overwhelming to say the least (with all theses different brands and collections).  Howerever, I'm still as frugal as ever.  Sometimes I indulge in a little MAC but im still a DRUGSTORE GROUPiE haha.  I will admit though, I'm ADDiCTED to lipsticks!!! No. Seriously.
Well anyways I MISSED YOU GUYS and I promise to never disappear like that again (at least without warning ;)  That being said, I have some goodies to share with you...

So it seems like everytime I go into a store that possibly sells makeup, I ALWAYS have to go check out the makeup selection.  It never fails.  This time I happened to take a trip to the local beauty supply store to purchase some new hair. I had never been in this one but lo and behold, they have NYX and Ruby Kisses displays so i just HAD to take a look-sie.  The NYX display had a few of the powder and cream blushes, the regular round lipsticks, a few mascaras and NYX Girl lipglosses (just the essentials, this wasn't Ulta lol).  Here are the things that i purchased from NYX:

- NYX "Pinky" Blush ($4.99)
- NYX "Cinnamon" Blush ($4.99)
- NYX Eyeshadow Base w/Pearl ($5.99)
-NYX "Rose" Lip Pencil ($1.49)
- NYX "Paparazzi" Lipstick ($2.99)
- NYX "Narcissus" Lipstick ($2.99)
*Will be swatching the lip colors soon.  I know they look similar here, no thanks to my sucky camera*

Ruby Kisses has got to be one of my favorite beauty supply store brands!  They have definitely improved on the quality and packaging of their products.  Their eyeshadow and nail colors are so pigmented.  I've been looking for these products (again) for quite some time and now I know where to purchase them :)  Because I had most of the things displayed, I only purchased a few things:
- RK HD Set n' Forget Setting Powder in "Banana" ($5.99)
- RK 3D Face Creator in Porcelain Level 12 ($3.99)
-RK All Over Glow Bronzing Powder in "Deep Glow" ($3.99)
- RK 24hr Eye Define Eyeliner Pencil in "Very Black" ($1.99)
*I haven't used any of these products yet so if you would like a review, just let me know.  I do plan on posting pics using these products. As a matter of fact, I just created an instagram account yesterday so you can follow me on there @MissT0YAB00*

While I'm in the "blogging" mood, I should also share with you some other items I purchased a few days before:

- Sinful Colors Triple Shadow in "Golden Glow" (retails for $3.99 but was BOGO free at my bss) so I got...
- Sinful Colors Triple Eyeshadow in "Romance"
- Nicka K Eyeliner Pencil in "Gold" ($1.00)
- Nicka K Eyeliner Pencil in "White" ($1.00)
- Nicka K Eyeliner Pencil in "Dark Brown" ($1.00)
- RK Nail Polish in "Tropical Green" ($1.00)
- RK Nail Polish in "Teal Envy" ($1.00)
-NanaCoco Nail Polish in "Surfer's Dream" ($1.99)

*Stay tuned for picture of the nail colors and possible makeup looks with the trios.  I will most likely post pics on my instagram, so be sure to follow me there! @MissT0YAB00*

Remember, all of the above items can be found at your participating beauty supply stores.  You don't have to pay top dollar to look good, inexpensive items look just as good as long as you know how to rock it.  I have had great color pay off and longevity with these particular brands.  If you would like me to review anything or simply have questions, leave them in the comment section.  Stay Beautiful!
